In addition to producing a range of motor and motor racing paintings for exhibition or for sale, a lot of Tim’s work is to commission.  The commission process is a very simple one – Tim is happy to paint any subject based on his customer’s requirements.  As well as producing one-off paintings for individual customers, Tim has also worked to produce a range of paintings for business customers and has, to date, produced commission paintings for two calendars for GTO Engineering. 

Usually commissions are motoring based and will often recall a favourite car, or favourite motoring adventure.  However, Tim is equally comfortable painting family or individual portraits or painting a landscape commission.  Tim often works from photographs of individual cars but is equally happy to source material from his own, extensive, library of books and photographs. 

Based on initial discussion (usually conducted by email or on the telephone) Tim prepares sketches which he sends to customers for their agreement.  Once the content and composition, as well as the size and style, of the work are agreed, Tim will produce a painting, normally in acrylic paint on canvas.
