Lucky Jim

Clark may have been one of the most naturally gifted of all Grand Prix drivers, but Grands Prix are not won by pure talent alone – just ask Chris Amon. Luck has a part to play and no one was luckier than Clark at Spa in 1964. Clark started the last lap in 4th place while in front of him, first Dan Gurney and then Graham Hill and Bruce McLaren faltered – out of fuel. Clark passed McLaren just before the finish line to win the 3rd of his 4 consecutive Belgian Grand Prix wins.
